Great Neighborhood Spot, Insanely Good Greek Potatoes! We live in the neighborhood and head for Yanni's Cafe on a weekly basis. The service is consistently welcoming and friendly, even when we botch the Greek pronunciations of the various menu items. The food is quite simply addicting. We love the Chicken Skaras, the roasted chicken is perfectly spiced and quite juicy. The veggies that come with the entree are just fine (nothing great, but good flavor) and the Greek potatoes are one of the highlights of the meal. They have a wonderful lemony flavor that is amazing. When you head there, don't forget to order the Avgolemono soup; it is a heady concoction of chicken, rice and lemon that is wonderful ~ great for a cloudy, blustery day when you need a little liquid comfort. One note, if you do have a glass of wine at Yanni's be prepared for the elfin-sized glasses that they use ~ more like a shot of wine than a glass, but this doesn't take away from the overall experience. As with most neighborhood spots, parking can be a bit tricky (unless, like us, you can hoof it over!) but it is absolutely worth the hassle! See www.thedecadentfeast.com for more reviews!
